Thuan Hung Temple

Thuan Hung is the land of Long Xuyen - the old Chau Doc was later discovered in the South, but it was not until 1836 that Tan Thuan Dong village was formed. According to Nguyen An Giang tide of historian Nguyen Dinh Hau and Dinh Thuan Hung historical and cultural history, Thuan Hung land is associated with the history of reclaiming Southern land of King Minh Mang of Nguyen Dynasty.

In 1935, Tan Thuan Dong and Tan Hung villages were merged into Thuan Hung village in Thot Not district, Dinh My district, Long Xuyen province. After the liberation of the South on April 30, 1975, Thuan Hung commune was located in Thot Not district, Hau Giang province, Can Tho province and then Can Tho city. From these times, Thuan Hung temple throne in terms of architecture, valuable decoration.

Every year, Thuan Hung Temple organizes many great ceremonies such as the Ceremony of "Thuong dien" and "Ha dien", the Commemoration of Hung King to commemorate the great people and heroes who have contributed to the nation's construction and protect the country for a long time.

Every year, the Festival attracts over 26,708 people attending. Since then, Thuan Hung Temple has been recognized as a Cultural and Historical Site at the city level in 2006.
This is also an opportunity to educate the descendants of the young generations to remember the merits as well as the history of building and defending the country, proud of the homeland in every Vietnamese heart.

In addition to the ceremony, the locality also organizes many sports activities, folk arts and folk games, promoting cultural activities in festivals, preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.
